The Space'ial Delivery : Needs You is a game about working in team to make a spaceship functionning. Their objectif is to deliver a package while trying to survive space's danger and upgrade their spaceship and items.

Players choose a role between Captain / Engineer / Scientiste / Gunner and cooperate to deal with various situations such as enemies raids or fire.

Context

The Space'ial Delivery : Needs You is a project made at school as the End year project. This tooks place in 2023 for a period of 3 weeks.

The game genre was free and the game should be between a III to an AAA game. The game idea is coming from a vote after that each student makes a presentation of his idea.

My tasks in this project

  1. Make the High Concept Document.

  2. Produce a Machination of a feature : Gunnering.

  3. Do the Presentation document.

Tasks details

Task n°1 : Make the High Concept Document.

In this project, we were two System Designer, so we shared the responsibilities and work loads to make the document. We discussed a lot together to came up with a document that follow the intention of the game.

I was responsible of the 3C, gameloops & gameplay pillars, persona, "fight" feature details. I also merged document together and work on the formalization of it.



 

Task n°2 : Produce a Machination feature : Gunnering.



I used Machination to simulate the spacial fight with guns from a player perspective.

It can simulate a fire of gun ,hit chance, changing shell type , inflict fire effect in the enemy room or stunt effect. (this machination is hard to read, I use layer in futur machination).

Beside, it allows the tweak of statitsic to influence each mechanic such as fire dealing chance or time to put out a fire.

 

Task n°3 : Make the presentation document.

At the end of the project, the team had to present the game at a jury. we discussed together about the pacing and how to present the game and then I made the document.

For that, I am using powerpoint and animation / transition to manage and help the presentation pacing. It was a role play where we incarnated the narrator and consider the jury as a the player character to enlist him.
