Masked city is a mix of Uncharted and Sunset Overdrive. The player plays Kiara, a thief, who wants to steal an ancient relic to sell it. To do so, she has to fight, explore and solves mysteries.
Context
Masked city is a project made at school as a workshop. This took place in 2023 for a period of 2 weeks.
The project as to be a combination of two games, one is the gameplay (Uncharted) and second one is the Artistic Direction (Sunset Overdrive).
My tasks in this project
Make the High Concept Document.
Do the Presentation organisation and support.
Tasks details
Task n°1 : Make the High Concept Document.
After defining the intention and scope of the game, I documented the whole game principle in the high concept document for external use. From the 3C with the enemies to the Persona (excluding Level Design). The project is set in the document to give an overall aspect of the game. It is the starting point to develop the game and it is subject to evolve during development. |
Task n°2 : Do the Presentation organisation and document.
I worked on the presentation support (powerpoint) and organized the presentation for a jury. Starting the presentation with a short presentation of the game with a video to show how it looks. Then diving into the gameloop and the arts of the game. Also, after a discussion with the team to adjust each person section, I organized some repetiton. |
